Automatic upgrades and version question

  1. I purchased and installed version 1.4.4 on a WP 3.1 installation. I'm not getting the option for automatic upgrades. The posts I read indicated that this was a problem related to versions prior to version 1.4.4. So what steps do I need to take to fix this?

The plugin page tells me that I need to register the plugin in order to receive automatic updates. When I click on the link it takes me to the settings page. The settings page has the license information. There is nothing on the page that refers to registering the plugin. At the top of the settings page there is a button that tells me that I have to purchase a support license for $39. So are you telling me that I don't get support with my regular purchase? I need to pay you another $39 to get support for my original $39 product?

I want to use the built in css class styles for formatting form elements. Is this feature available in version 1.4.4, or is it only available in the 1.5 beta version?

    Thanks,
    Emilio

I'm currently using Gravity forms for two forms on a site under development. A contact form and a multi-page patient information form. The current version I'm working with doesn't have some of the features I'd like to use such as built in class styles and page breaks. Right now thw patient form is a bit of a mess.

  2. Emilio,
You do not have to pay again. The problem is that your license key is not getting validated correctly. Next to your license key in the settings page, do you see a green tick or a red "stop" sign?
If you see a red "stop" sign, that means Gravity Forms can't recognize your license. In that case, try pasting it again.
If that is not the case, please send me a WP admin login to alex@rocketgenius.com and I will take a closer look

  3. A few things. No, you don't have pay anything additional to get the updates. The registration/license key is the same thing. You should have received it in your purchase email. If you've entered the key correctly and still see the registration message, it could be that you have a caching plugin that's preventing it from updating or that your site is unable to connect to our server to authenticate. Those are the most common reasons.

In the mean time, you can always download the latest release on the downloads page of this site and update the plugin manually if you wish.

Lastly, the multipage capabilities and CSS "Ready Classes" are part of the upcoming 1.5 version and aren't part of the current 1.4.5 release. If you want those, you're welcome to download the 1.5 beta version, but since it's a first beta, there could still be some bugs. Use it at your own risk.

  4. Thanks for the replies. I'll try re-pasting the license key info and see if that works. As for the version 1.5 beta, I really do need some of the features in this release. For example, this is an ophthalmology office. A patient needs to fill out three different forms. I want all the data to be contained as one multi-page form rather than three separate forms. So I think I'm going to take my chances and hope that the full release happens before I release the site to the client.
