Bug report: "website" form type validator rejects valid URLs

What it says on the titleā€”I've set up a form where people can include URLs, and GF's validator for the "website" field seems to reject URLs that include a ~, which is admittedly pretty old-school, but is still valid.

  2. Thank you for pointing that out. I will bring it to the attention of the development team. I know this has been addressed in the past, and the suggestion at the time was to use a plain text field to allow all possible types of URLs. I agree though that the regex could probably be tweaked to allow more valid URLS in.

  3. Hi Adam. I have a new version of the plugin with a fix which will allow this valid URL to pass validation when entered in a website field. Please send me an email at chris@rocketgenius.com and I will send it to you. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.
