Can you copy forms?

    Hi,

In your demo, I wasn't able to determine if it is possible to copy forms within a particular installation. (Copying them across installations would be even more useful.)

You mention that a few options and functions have been disabled in the demo. Is the ability to copy forms one of those disabled features?

More generally, can you list the other functions that are hidden or unavailable in the demo.

    Thanks,

    Andy

  2. Sure, most of the functionality that was disabled has to do with the ability to save changes. You can't save changes to the test forms, although you can add fields and change field options... it just won't save.

The post and page functionality has also been disabled. You can't access the Post or Page area of the WordPress administration so you can't insert forms into posts or pages using the provided UI that makes it easy to insert forms wherever you want.

You can, however, submit the forms that exist on the demo site frontend and then view those entries in the demo site admin.

The purpose of the demo is primarily to allow you to see how the form builder works and how easy it is to create a form. Unfortunately for security reasons we can't open it up for people to change the WordPress install, save inappropriate changes, etc.

I hope that clarifies things a little bit.

SCI - Why would you want to copy a form within an install. You can embed one form on as many pages as you'd like. That way, when you make a change in the form, it shows up on all posts/pages you've put it on.

  4. Sorry, I completely just realized that I only answered part of your question regarding the demo and what features were removed.

Currently in Version 1.0 the ability to duplicate forms is not one of the available features. This is a feature that we plan on adding in a future update.

Let us know if you have any other questions and we will be glad to help.

  5. I was wondering if you have since developed the ability to copy forms. You mentioned in this older post that you were looking into it. Specifically I'm looking to duplicate a gravity form on another site that is part of a multi-site install.
    Thanks.

  6. Yes, Gravity Forms introduced the ability to export and import forms earlier this summer. The 1.4 release includes this capability and it can be found under the Import/Export area.
