Cannot insert form

    Hi there,

I just purchased your plugin so that I can add a form (an application for employment form) to my clients Wordpress 3.2.1 website. I have created a sample form with just 3 or so fields for experimentation purposes and I have tried to insert this form onto my page, but nothing happens after I select the form and hit the "Insert Form" button. What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you,
    Christine

    Rob,

Thank you:) I managed to get the form on the page with a workaround. It seems that the theme I am using for the website was perhaps responsible for this. I changed over to a default WordPress theme for a brief moment and was able to insert the code without a problem.

Is there any workaround I can use so I can find out what to use to include in the short code for future forms and then just paste it in. I am able to get the form ID easily enough but is there a way to see the name of the form that has been generated so that I can plug that into the short code also, without having to change themes again?

If I have further issues, I will give you my login info:)

    Thank you so much,
    Christine

  4. You can create the short code manually, which you can see here: http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Embedding_A_Form

On the short code you can choose to display the form title. I'm not 100% sure what you are asking in terms of "is there a way to see the name of the form that has been generated so that I can plug that into the short code also". Does this help at all?

  5. Hey Christine,

If you're talking about the form name in the shortcode, that's not actually a requirement. It's there as a "friendly name" more so you can easily identify it without having to look back at the form list to compare ID's.

The form ID is what the plugin looks for to actually embed the form. The shortcode will work fine without the friendly name. You can refer back to the examples on the page Rob referenced above for the proper syntax.
