Can't Edit Forms

  1. I just update GF to 1.6.4.1.1 and I cannot edit forms.

Is there a standard fix for this?

  2. Do you have a link to your form?

It is in a side-bar widget

  4. The behavior you are describing would be caused by a javascript error. If a javascript error occurs, it will prevent the form editor from functioning properly.

The first thing you should do when upgrading to a new version and you encounter a potential javascript error is to completely clear your browser cache, restart your browser and try again. Your browser may be loading javascript from cache and therefore is not loading new javascript associated with the new release. That is the first thing to do.

If clearing your cache does not work then what we will need you to do is test for theme and plugin conflicts to see if there is a conflict occurring with other code on your site. Follow these instructions:

  5. I flushed the cache and turned off all plugins then reactivated Gravity. I could edit all form fields except for drop down boxes (which just so happens to be what I need to edit).

As soon as I turned Fluency Administrator back on, I couldn't edit any fields in pre-existing forms. New forms, however, are editable except for drop downs.

Is there a way to update the SQL table with the drop down values I need to add?

  6. Can you send me a WP login to rob@rocketgenius.com and reference this post so I can take a look?

  7. The issue was being caused by the experimental No Conflict Mode option in the Gravity Forms Settings. Due to javascript changes made in Gravity Forms v1.6.4, one of the javascript files that should be output on the page was not being output when No Conflict Mode was enabled.

For now I have disabled No Conflict Mode on your site. We will correct this in the next release so that this issue does not happen. The No Conflict Mode is still an experimental feature and we will be refining it over time. What it does is very tricky and it's difficult to make it work exactly the way we want it... but it is getting better. Hopefully eventually it will be able to eliminate any admin related conflicts.

But for the time being, leave that setting off and things should work.
