Category field with checkboxes

    Is it possible to display the category field as checkboxes so you can select multiple categories for a post?

    Right now there's not an option to use checkboxes to select multiple categories, but you can use multiple post category (select) fields.

    Is there any way to do a multiple select? Maybe a filter I can use to insert some custom code to track that? Client really wants a way to do this without adding multiple drop down selects
