Character Limit Not Working

  1. Hi Guys,

Everything's great, but the character limit doesn't seem to be doing anything -- it's set to 2400 on all the paragraph fields, but there's no error or cutoff. Any ideas?

    Form at: http://new.goldrule.org/wp/grant-report-form/
Asking for 450 words from http://www.lipsum.com/ gives more than 2400 characters.

    Thanks,

    M

Looks like you have a JS error that might be conflicting:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) http://new.goldrule.org/wp/wp-content/themes/Gold/jquery.smooth-scroll.js?ver=1.0

Update: As well as what Rob said below.

  3. I believe your issue is this: Screenshot

You are loading the most current version of jQuery in the head, which is correct and then you have this one in the footer, which I believe is the reason the character limit is not working.

  4. Yup -- I should have checked -- the one in the head must have been loaded in functions.

    Sorry for the dumbassery.

    thanks!
