Checkbox is not checked when it should be, but checks itself upon failed submit.

  1. Hi there. In the editor, I have a checkbox that is pre-checked, yet, when viewing the form live, it does not default to checked. Oddly - after submitting an incomplete form (and thus reloading) the checkbox DOES default to checked. It sounds odd, but it's repeatable. Animation is enabled and ajax = true, for what that's worth.

    Thanks,
    - tollie

  2. Hey Tollie, I was unable to replicate this in my dev site. Do you have a link to your form and are you running the latest version of WP and GF?

  3. Thanks Rob. Running the latest versions of both, but for obscurity reasons I'd rather not link directly to the form just yet. I'll try to test it on my own a bit and see if I can reproduce it on a new form similarly configured.

FWIW, this is on a lengthy 1 page form. It works as expected on a similar, multi-page form.

  4. Update: Adding in an additional page, before the checkbox, fixed the bug. Nothing else did. Disabling ajax, duplicating the form, etc. I suspect this is some sort of javascript timing issue, but that's a stab in the dark.

  5. Can I get a reply please? The latest update (1.6.4.2.) did not seem to address this issue. I still have checkboxes and radio buttons that should be pre-checked, but they are not.

    Thanks.

  6. Since you can't post a link, can you please email it to me to rob@rocketgenius.com and reference this post. Also, can you export the form and send the XML file to me as well.
