Conditional Shortcode not working as expected

  1. First of all: thanks so much for adding the Conditional Shortcode function!!

I have a problem though: when using the "is" conditional it does not seem to work. The value is a string, like in the second example on http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Shortcodes#Conditional_Shortcode

It does work when using "Contains", but in my case that is not enough filtering to accomplish what I want.

I also tried activating 'field values' in the form, and then using numbers in combination with the "is" conditional, but that also did not work.

    Any ideas?

    (update: using WP 3.3.2 & GF 1.6.4.2.1)

Can you give me more of an idea of what you are trying to accomplish? What does your conditional look like so far?

  3. I have a form on which visitors can order whitepapers, with a form field using multiple checkboxes to select the whitepaper(s) of their choice. Depending on their selection I want to send an auto-reply with the link(s) to the PDF file(s) they selected in the form.

The shortcode I am using is:
    [gravityforms action="conditional" merge_tag="{I want to order the following whitepapers:8}" condition="is" value="Online reputatiemanagement"]
    http://www.mydomain.nl/downloads/online-reputatiemanagement.pdf
    [/gravityforms]

The "value" is corresponding with the (7 different) field value(s) that are used in the form.

When using the "is" conditional, it seems the condition is not met (??), and no link appears in the email. When using "contains" it does work, but that does not provide enough filtering.

    Thanks!

Can you make sure you turn on values in your checkboxes field and make sure your values don't have spaces and test that?

  5. I have now tried with values turned on, using:

    [gravityforms action="conditional" merge_tag="{I want to order the following whitepapers:8}" condition="is" value="Online-reputatiemanagement"]

Also without succes. I did also try to use numbers as (custom) values with the same (i.e. no) result.

    Thanks again for keeping up!

BTW: I don't seem to recieve update notifications for this thread, although checking the "Subscribe" box underneath.

So the confusing element of this is that you mentioned it worked when you had your condition as "contains", but it isn't working when you have condition "is" am I correct in that? Can you send WordPress details to peralty@rocketgenius.com so I can look through this and see if I can figure it out?

  7. Sorry for my late response David; would you need a login for the site? I can arrange that tomorrow and send you an email. Thanks again!
