Confirm Email field

  1. Hello;

    I am looking to use two form fields to accept a users email: "Email" and then "Confirm Email"

    Can anyone give me some assistance on how I could link these two fields of a form so that the user can not submit the form unless both fields contain the same value?

    Thank you.

  4. Currently it's not possible without writing custom PHP and using API hooks, so if you don't really know what you are going with PHP and WordPress hooks you will have a difficult time implementing it.

    We are discussing adding this functionality to the 1.3.12 release of Gravity Forms which we are currently working on.

  5. Thanks Carl, with the GF API documentation so out of date, can you tell us which API hook to add the action to?

    gform_pre_submission? even though this happens after validation?

  6. Currently, the only way to handle custom validation is with jQuery. I have written a code snippet for another user in the following thread.

    Let me know how that works for you.

  8. This feature is available in Gravity Forms v1.5 Beta 3. There is an option on the Email to require they confirm their email, it then displays two email fields instead of one.

  10. The beta is available for download on the Downloads page. It will be released via automatic upgrade after it undergoes sufficient beta testing.
