Connection was Reset preventing edits etc

I have been having a problem for a few months which effectively means I only get one shot at creating a new form on any of my websites. Whenever I try to update a form, or import a previously exported form, I get
    "The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading."

Any suggetions as to what might be causing this to happen would be greatly appreciated.
It even happened on a brand new installation of wordpress where gravity forms was the only installed plugin. (I am using Genesis Framework too).

  2. Have you looked at your server error logs or reached out to your host? What host do you use?

I have looked at error logs but nothing was there. My hosts are called catalyst2, who are very helpful, could you suggest what I should be asking them?

  4. Gotcha, ok. Are you running GF v1.6.4.1.1 and the latest versions of WP?

Also, not sure if this is the case or not, but could be a PHP memory issue. You can increase the memory of your WordPress site using instructions found here: http://www.nerdgrind.com/increase-wordpress-and-php-memory-limit/

Yes - I keep hoping that an update will fix the problem, but no luck.

Will try the memory thing and let you know, thanks

Am using 38M out of 128 available (both WP and PHP) So guessing that's not the problem?

David - sorry didn't see your reply until just now - everything else is fine.
Also, I can create a form and also export a form, but once the form is created I cannot update even if there are no changes to the form.

  11. Got it - can you 100% confirm for me that you have run through the instructions that we have here for checking for plugin/theme conflicts.

This is my newest website, and I tried gravity forms on its own before installing any other plugins and still got the error.
I have just switched to the 2011 theme and the error still occurs, although that is without disabling the other plugins.
Does that qualify as a thorough check?

  13. Well, I just talked with one of our developers and showed him what was going on. The consensus was this was out of our league to try to troubleshoot and that you should contact your host/server as they will have better tools and logs to help you try to figure out what's going on.

Any suggestions as to what I should say which might give them a clue what I was talking about?

  15. You can set WP_DEBUG=true in your wp-config.php and see if you get an actual error to send them. Otherwise, just send them the link to the page and tell them what is happening.

At the moment I seem to be caught in the middle somewhat, as they can't see anything which gives them any indication of what might be the problem.

  18. I am not sure if I will be able to help, but if you send me an FTP login to alex@rocketgenius.com, I will be glad to dig a little deeper and see if there anything that can be done on our end to get this resolved or to help you troubleshoot this problem.
