Country Name with wrong Translation

  1. Hi There

    I'm using the latest Plugin version with the latest Wordpress install, and noticed on the Adress field in the Country selection the Country name for Switzerland is wrongly translated with "Schweitz". There is no T in that Name version. Please either change it to Schweiz or Switzerland. Not sure if this is only in the German Language files I'm using as I can't edit the .pot files for that language. Will you be making the .po files for German etc. available?

    On a similar request regarding the Adress field, is it possible to get the default Postal Code before City order as it is common in whole Continental Europe? Would be great!
    Thanks and regards maurice

  2. The German translation was user supplied, we don't do any of the translations. They are all contributed by the community. I will let the user who created the PO file know.

    There isn't currently a way to change the order of the Address fields but it is something we plan on adding.

  4. I just dropped the translator an email about this. He is good about responding so we should be able to get this corrected in the next release.

    @heimo:

    I use this wordpress addon: http://www.code-styling.de/english/development/wordpress-plugin-codestyling-localization-en

    You can do all translations inside wordpress with it (even creating new translation files, etc.)

    Carl, I just installed the latest version of GF and the translated string for "Switzerland" is still not corrected: "Schweitz" should be "Schweiz". Any news on the topic?

  7. @lichterpark2 I'll have to get in touch with the user that supplied us the German translation file, he never got back with me on this.

  8. I came across this thread here and I am the user who creates the German files for Gravity:
    Back in April I immediately mailed the corrected files to Carl! I am sorry when this wasn't changed in the download package...

    Anyone interested can always download the current German language packs - also in formal ("SIE") and informal ("DU") version from my own homepage: http://deckerweb.de/material/sprachdateien/gravityforms-und-addons/

    Hope that helps, Dave :)

  9. Thanks Dave, we will get this added to the v1.6 beta build which we will be releasing soon. There are some new features in v1.6 so hopefully you can update the translation file during the beta release so we can include it in the final v1.6 release.

  10. Hi Carl! Thank you! Of course, I'll DO that! The day the beta releases I will begin work on the files and immediately mail them back and give a link here in the forum for users to test also and correct any typos or other mistakes. I hope this helps! I am really sorry for all users from Switzerland though! Please update your files.
    Greetinx, Dave :)
