Coupon Code/Discounts

  1. Is it possible to add a coupon code at checkout? Discount code?

    Thanks.

  2. It's been done as a customization, so it is possible as a customization but it is not a built in feature. It is a feature we do plan on adding to the PayPal Add-On in a future release. It will be part of the payment gateway add-ons themselves and not Gravity Forms core due to the UI that will be required to manage coupons.

  5. There is no update on the next release of the PayPal Add-On. We are working on other Add-Ons and Gravity Forms v1.6 at the moment.

  6. That's too bad. This seems like it would be a simple thing to include. Discount codes are a major thing other carts have that yours does not.

  7. I understand, it's something we do plan on adding. Keep in mind we aren't a shopping cart, so it's not going to have all the features of Shopp, Cart66, etc.

Coupon codes sound simple, but there is a bunch of new UI elements that come into play in the admin and the front end. You need a place to manage and create coupon codes, you need a new field type to handle the coupon code input, you need new validation to handle validating the coupon code, it needs to tie into the price to update the price, etc. So a lot more goes into it then it may seem initially.

But it's definitely something we plan on adding.
