Create a secure form to collect client information.

  1. Need to create secure form for mini-credit app, example redit card number, ssn (not for processing, just collecting data). Can I do that with Gravity Form forms? If not anyone have a suggestion how to accomplish. Site is hosted with Hostgator and can add SSL certificate if that is needed. Thanks.

  2. You can collect whatever information you like with Gravity Forms. Securing it is up to you. Using an SSL certificate and one of the SSL plugins for WordPress will keep the data secure in transmission between the visitor's browser and your web server.

Here is one such SSL/HTTPS plugin for WordPress:

You are responsible for the security of the the entries, notification emails, database, WordPress installation, etc.

    Does that answer your question?

  3. OK. So if I install the form on a SSL page and the results just go into the database (not email notifications) then the user could export them by logging into the admin and download the data correct?

  4. Yes. You should secure your wp-admin with SSL as well.
