Creating and add-on

  1. I am new here, so please point me in the right direction if I am posting this is the wrong area. I am looking to either find or create an add-on to bridge Gravity Forms with Top Producer 8i and Docusign.

I see that some vendors have alread had success maping thier fields to Top Producer 8i and I am hoping I can do the same with Gravity Forms, I just need to know how I would go about designing the add-on myself. Where is the best place for me to start looking?

Also, I am designing a site where a customer will fill out a form online and that form is then submitted as a PDF through Docusign so the customer could then get their legal signature on the form. maybe it's not possible or even practical, but it is a thought.

  2. The best thing to do would be to download the existing Add-Ons if you have a Business or Developer License and get familiar with how they work.

Most of the services we create Add-Ons for have some sort of free or trial account. This way you can familiarize yourself with how our Add-Ons work, then you can look at how they are put together from a code standpoint and use them as a blueprint to create your own.

Ultimately the API integration with the 3rd party service is going to require custom code as every API is different.

  3. Thanks for the quick reply!

I am looking at the add-on created for Salesforce to see if that helps. I would imagine it may.

I was looking at the following on Top Producer's site...

Obtaining the Web Lead Form Source Code

To obtain the source code for the Web Lead Form, follow the below steps:
Click Web Lead Forms in the Contacts pull down menu. This will display a list of any previously created web lead forms.
Click the Generate Source Code icon next to the desired Web Lead Form.
Select the desired source code format, either .ASP or .CPP(CGI), and click the Generate Source Code button.

A download prompt will appear. Save the file to your computer.
The source code can be inserted into your website at the desired location. The Web Lead Form will be displayed within the web page and a website visitor can complete the form and submit their information from within your website.

I am thinking that I can start there. Who knows. Thanks again.

  4. Hi Criley,
I'm also looking to link my gravity forms to Top Producer. Did you ever get the Add On to work?
    Thanks!
