Creating drop-down menu items that are not selectable

  1. How do I create menu items in a drop-down menu that are not selectable? I want to add headers to different sections within a drop-down menu, for example:

    Students
    Item 1
    Item 2
    Teachers
    Item 1
    Item 2

Students and Teachers would be headings, but only the actual items would be selectable.

What you are describing is using option groups (optgroup) which is a feature of the HTML select but isn't currently a feature of Gravity Forms, however it is possible to transform one of your existing drop downs.
