Creating Gift Certificate form

    Hi,

I have created a form that allow visitors on the website to purchase from predefined gift certificates amounts and/or enter a customized gift certificate amount. I want them to be able to select multiple amounts and/or enter the customized amount. A selection, and required buyer details need to be completed/selected before added to the cart.

I'm not exactly sure on how to do the logic through using the form elements. I know that the multi-select does not work as expected.

Any suggestions and help would be most appreciated.

I am not sure what you need help with. If you could break it down further on what exactly you are having issues with, I might be able to give you some advice.

You can create a product that is a check box field. You can have a product that is hidden by conditional logic until a user selects other in the check box field. The hidden product that is shown when Other has a check in it would be an input field where a person can enter a value.

This should give you most of what you want, right?

    Hi,

I follow. I updated my form and got it to display correctly. I have an issue that the amount(s) selected do not get added to the TOTAL field. However, the customized amount displays in the total field when entered.

How do I get the calculation/running total to work?

    Thanks so much,
    Lyse

The Total field will show the total of the products and options being selected. You shouldn't need to do anything other than add a Total field to your form.

    HI David,

If you don't think that using the checkboxes field as opposed to a product field is not causing the problem, I will check with the Gravity Form Product Addon plugin/extension from WooCommerce to see it that's where the amounts are not being added.

    Thanks,

    Hi David,

I finally got help to simplify the form by not using the checkboxes approach for allowing customers to bulk select gift certificates.

    All works well.

Thank you for all your help!
