Credit Card and SSL

  1. I have purchased a Comodo Positive SSL Certificate through Hostgator for this website: http://hiddenvalleyeco.com/. I primarily need it for the Gift Vouchers page: http://hiddenvalleyeco.com/gift-vouchers/ where users input their credit card details to buy a Gift Voucher.

    1) Is there any field for credit card details? - especially the expiry date as the date field requires a day input as well

    2) What do I do next - do I need to connect the SSL to my gravity form?

    Thank you Jayne

Where are you hoping to send the details? Which payment processor? When you add-on one of our payment processor add-ons, you get the Credit Card fields. Otherwise, they don't exist.

  3. Hello David

Thank you for your reply. There is no payment processor as they will be processing the payment through their machine in the office.

Details are to come through via email.

Gravity Forms doesn't support this type of thing because of the security issues it can open up. You've done the smart thing in getting an SSL cert, but the data would still go into the same database as your WordPress installation, which isn't ideal. If you have the developer license, I would recommend downloading the Paypal add-on, looking through its code, and setting up something similar for them, so that the data isn't stored in their WordPress database, but instead is encrypted and sent elsewhere. This add-on will also give you code to add the credit card fields and whatnot.
