CSS ready multi-column classes not working with label placement

It appears that using gf_left_half and gf_right_half for a two-column layout for form entries doesn't work when using any label placement other than "Top". Is this a known bug, or is it intended to work this way?

  2. That's the way it works, if you check out that section of the documentation it states that only top label can be used:

Ah, I've missed that! This would be a nice feature to have, it currently doesn't work the way you would expect it too (considering the general functionality, there is no reason why it shouldn't work with the other label layouts).
