Currency is not defined JS Error

  1. I'm trying to add a Drop down on a form and in the admin section, when I click on the Edit link for the dropdown (does the same on checkboxes and multiple choice as well), I get the Error Currency not defined in my firebug.

I've not had this problem before and it does it in Chrome, FF4 AND Opera. I've uninstalled, deleted and reinstalled Gravity Forms and cleared my cache on my browsers. They still all do it.

Any ideas on what could be causing it? I can't edit the dropdowns because I get the error and they do not "open" for me to change options.

  2. Hi Ivycat,

Sounds like a theme/plugin conflict. You can test for this using the following instructions:

  3. I had already tried deregistering all the non WP or non-gravity form related scripts but I gave deactivating everything but Gravity Forms and still got the same error.

Using Rootstheme with is optimized for gravity forms and doesn't happen on any other site with that theme. (edit: not sure if it could be a theme thing unless they have js for the options page, I don't see anything that would interfere with the currency script.)

  4. Hi Ivycat,

I'd still recommend seeing if you can recreate the issue using TwentyTen with all plugins (except Gravity Forms) deactivated. Let me know how it goes.

Also, go ahead and post a link to the form and I'll take a peek for any common issues.

  5. The problem is on the back end unfortunately so any link wouldn't work without an account login. The form works fine on the front end - ( http://www.simplicitydecor.com/cms/contact/ )

Unfortunately the client is wanting to launch today and switching the theme is problematic (as he is "hovering" on the site - we got a call and a complaint in the 5-10 minutes it took to deactivate the plugins) . I might give it a go tonight or something when he's not around - for now I might just change the values of the dropdown in the database for now...

  6. Exact same thing happened to me. It was the PayPal Add-on that did it. When I deactivated the PayPal add-on everything worked. I was able to add/edit the form items, then reactivate the PayPal add-on.

  7. To me it´s happening since the upgrade to 1.6.4.1.1. you guys are sure you didnt forget anything? :)

I ll probably gonna go back to the previous version and see if its gone..

btw, already tried increasing the memory to 128 on both, wp-config and php.ini and tried deactivating a few plugins I had activated in the past days (before that it was working fine).

Will let you know what the previous version of gf will do..

  8. hey guys..i can confirm..it must be something with your new version..i just went back to 1.6.3.3.4, and everything works fine again.. i can re open any of the fields without errors...

Just for your information. I did everything you said on 1.6.4, including disabling all my plugins..the only thing i didnt do is go back to twenty eleven, but i can bet it wouldnt have helped.

I love your product, and I just can say: if it wasnt that great these things would drive me crazy :) but its just so immensly great i can live with these lil inconveniences. keep up the good work..maybe you find out what its bugging with 1.6.4. ah and btw, i had updated also the minor version you pushed yesterday.

    regards,

  9. Do you happen to have the No Conflict mode turned on in the Plugin Settings? If so, try turning that off.
