custom confirmation for non-programmers

I have what I thought was an utterly simple need -- two different thank you messages based on whether someone entered info in a specific field. For example:

FieldX left empty -- one message
FieldX filled out -- different message

This is what I thought conditional logic was for, but after searching through the documentation and forum posts it seems like you need to be a programmer to accomplish this which is very frustrating. We bought this plugin for this option (since none of the free forms in the WP repository have this capability) but it appears you have to be a programmer in order to do something like this. Can't find any "how to" information in the documentation about the Confirmation section which is also quite frustrating.

Look at our conditional shortcode documentation. It might help you and doesn't require programming skill, but it does still have a learning curve:

    Awesome! That works!

Unfortunately I couldn't find it do a search for "conditional" in the documentation. You need to add a link to the pages that DO come up in search results to this shortcodes page because it can't be found otherwise.

    Thanks!
