Custom CSS Being Overwritten By Plugin CSS

I have no idea why, but I cannot for the life of me change styles at my theme's CSS level...

The forms.css file always takes precedence. So when I create a new forms.css file and edit it directly - and then back it up, every update I perform removes ALL files from the CSS directory (including my backups!).

    What am I doing wrong?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I'm trying to style my buttons and make my forms longer (which I've been doing forever - but for some reason the forms.css on this wordpress install is taking precedence.)

http://bmc.bmcgroupmaterials.com (Form is in the UBER Menu up top).

    Thanks!

  2. You can use more specific CSS inheritance to override default styles. Examples are here.
