    Hi there...
    Is it possible to change the format of the date....I can change the format to dd/mm/yyyy but I need it in this format " 29 Aug 2012"

    Is this possible?

    Not with the date field currently. The date field only accepts numeric dates in the major formats. If you want months, you will have to use separate drop downs fields.
