    I have released a client and have GF running on their site. How can I deactivate the version of GF that I purchased (assuming I no longer have wp-admin access) so they can register/purchase on their own?

    If they have your license key, when it expires, they will be forced to get a new key to keep up with updates and support. There is no way to deactivate via URL as you initially requested. The license key is stored in the database and unless you remove it from there, the client has your key.

    yeah, they'll have the key. then is there anyway to change my license key/deactivate the old key?
