Default user and entering username of existing WP-user

Hi, I want to use gravity forms to enable site visitors to post to my blog. The site is now in a testing fase.
    I have two questions:

    1.
Is it possible to set a default user (other than the admin). So when a site visitor (non registered user) submits a form the is submission is assigned to the default user.

    2.
When the person who submits is a registered user they should be able to enter their username. So the submission is assigned to them. I want the submissions to display on their authorprofile-page.

    Thank you for your reply.

  2. 1. Yes it is possible to set the default author for a post that is created using Gravity Forms. It is one of the field options on the Post Title and Post Body fields.

    2. There is an option on the Post Title and Post Body fields that if the user submitting the form is logged in, it will use the logged in username as the author for the post.

So Gravity Forms already 1) allows for a default author and 2) overrides this if the user submitting the form is logged in.
