    hello,
    i´m using price-fields and have to disable the quantity-option sometimes ...when doing so, the value "1" is inserted automatically ...how do i change the value in zero? because sometimes the products out of stock.

  2. Currently this isn't an option. If the Quantity field is hidden then it is assumed that the Quantity is 1. This is for situations where you only allow them to order 1. But you raise a good point regarding situations where a product is out of stock but you don't want to delete it from your form. We will look into how this can be better handled.

    In the upcoming 1.6 release we have added the ability to make a Product Field an Admin Only field using the Visibility feature under the Advanced tab when editing the field. This will hide the field from users, but it will still exist so you don't have to delete it and lose data associated with that field.

    Would hiding this field be sufficient or are you looking to continue showing the Product on the form, just with a notice that is it out of stock and currently unavailable?

  4. One solution in this case, until we have a feature to handle this scenario, is to enable the Quantity field and then use custom CSS you add to your themes stylesheet to target and hide that element by setting it to display: none;

    Having an inventory input would be very helpful. It is easy to do this with PayPal; however, it obviously doesn't all the same design functionality that GF does. I'm currently looking to setup an Event Registration form that is only available to so many seats. I'd love to have that implemented with GF so that the emails, signup process, and database of attendees are stored nicely, but we can't monitor it constantly and don't want to have to refund anyone.

    It would be nice to have something that would still show up on the front end, but maybe offer a 'Out of Stock' message with details on when more would be available, or a way to be added to a waiting list.

    On a side note, it's great to see how awesome Gravity Forms is with their support and listening to their customers. Thank you for the product and I am looking forward to future updates and expansions.

    I am looking for exactly the same thing - I have a limited number of tickets for sale and would like to be able to disable a certain product (eg VIP Tickets) when the maximum has been sold. Are there any plans to integrate this to gravity forms?

    We still don't have an inventory system, but this tutorial on Gravity Wiz might get you most of the way there: http://gravitywiz.com/2012/09/19/better-inventory-with-gravity-forms/
