Do the hooks change with a new version/update?

    Hi,
    Thanks for such a wonderful plugin!
    We're using GF for collecting some data. We are planning to use the 'pre_submission' hook to do some processing with the data. Well the question is, when GF is updated to a newer version, manually or automatically, will the same hooks still work? I mean will they be the same throughout the updates, backward compatible? Please clear my doubts!

    99% of the time the hooks stay the same.

    They are designed to allow you to do customizations that are generally upgrade proof. So you do customizations via the hooks and don't change the core plugin files that way you can upgrade without a problem each time we release a new version.

    That being said, we can't 100% guarantee that hooks won't ever change. But generally they do not and we try not to change existing hooks.
