Drop Down List Required with Mask

  1. I have a drop down menu, that I'd like to start with "Choose Your Product," but the only way I've been able to figure this out is to actually add it as a value. If the hit "next" (page breaks), then it doesn't throw an error, even if the value is blank.

I'd love to have the drop down throw an error if they accidentally leave it on the default value. Thoughts?

Here's a screen shot of what I currently have:

It should throw an error if the value is empty. Do you have it set to be a required field?

Would the error throw when clicking next, or would they have to go through the whole form?

The error would only show upon clicking submit at the end. And please make sure there isn't a space in the value for the field.

  5. Actually, it looks like it works when hitting next now. I think what happened, is I originally had a value, tried it, and it didn't work. Then removed the value, updated, but did not refresh the page. It works fine, I've just wasted more of David's valuable time. That's all!
