Dummy Needs Help With Rich-Text Editor U.I

  1. Hello Friends!

I'm kinda stumped over this! Have downloaded CK Editor, uploaded it ( all of 6.3MB of it) to the site's root and now can't figure exactly how to add it to the Post Body of Gravity Form.

I will be grateful for even the tiniest help/assistance!

    Thanks!
P.S: All I want is for users to be able to have the option of stylizing their post when writing! I also wish I can configure the plug-in so that they can upload videos/.images directly to a Featured Page directly without having me editing it all.

  2. Can you post a link to your form please? And a link to the location of the CKEditor files (or just folder) on your server.

Normally, you add the javascript for the editor to the page where the form is located, and the editor then attaches itself to any textareas. You will need to include the proper scripts (and maybe styles) in the head of any page where you want the WYSIWYG editor in the textareas.

  3. Also, the "Similar Topics" in the sidebar will be relevant to you.

  4. Thanks Chris!

The site is still under wrap but I can de-activate the Coming Soon Page for you to take a look-see. Just give me a nod for affirmative! Regarding the ckEditor, where exactly do I upload it to? The theme's page template (since I want to use it only on Editor/Form on a particular page) or just _public html?

I uploaded and deleted it since I wasn't even sure what I needed to do.

    Again, thanks a million!

    Respectfully,

    Trax

  7. I will be able to help you with this on Wednesday evening. Thanks for hanging in there. It's not specific to Gravity Forms, but we should be able to point you in the right direction

  8. Oh God!
Mr Hajer, I'm deeply sorry for this late response! Thought I suppose to get a mail or something when there is a response on this thread. Just logged in now and saw this. Have I missed the opportunity? Please can you still throw me a line? Thank You!

  9. Sometimes the "email notifications" for new posts do not show up. Sorry about that.

Please make the site live or send a login to chris@rocketgenius.com and I will take a look for you.

Regarding WHERE you upload the ckEditor, it does not really matter, but you need to know the path and URL to it, once it is uploaded. I would probably put it in a "scripts" or "js" folder, in your theme, in its own ckeditor folder. I can't see what theme you will be using so I can't guess it at the path. It will be somewhere inside wp-content/themes/theme-name/.

You need to know where it is so you can call it properly later.
