Duplication of accounts

  1. Each time a customer fills out my form for an order, an estimate (or invoice - depending on what they order) is created in Freshbooks. However if it is a repeat customer, Freshbooks creates another account profile for them - even if they use the same email address. Is there any way the form to recognize a returning customer via their email?

  2. When you map the Freshbooks feed, for the email address field, their is a note: "Update an exisiting client if email addresses match" - is that checked in your feed and if so, does this still not work for you? Freshbooks should not create a new account if the email address matches the one currently in the account.

  3. I have that box checked. Duplicate accounts, that use the same email, are still made.

  4. That should not be happening. We're going to have to take a look at the configuration of your WordPress site, form, Freshbooks add-on and the Freshbooks feed. Please open a Priority Support request and include a link to this topic for reference.
