Dynamic Email Populatin Via Custom Field

Ok. So I know how this can be done just not sure A) how and B) if this is the best implementation.

    1) I have a site with "members". I want a "visitors" to be able to contact a "member" if they want from one standard contact form. So, I need the "TO" field to be dynamically populated. The way it will work is a "visitor" sees a post and click on "contact author". That will redirect them to the generic contact form where the info will be populated from the custom field (or variable) from the previous page.

What is the easiest way to implement this?

    Thanks everyone and fantastic plugin.

  3. You can do this by dynamically populating your form. How you do this depends on how you want to implement this.

If the form is going to be on the same page as the post, then you would implement this differently than if the form is on a separate page and you want to link to the form from the post.

What method would you prefer and i'll be glad to explain what you need to do...

    Carl,

Thanks for the reply. The plan was to go with a pop up window method. So the user see a helmet they like (in my case) and click the "email" button and a pop up form would come up and they could contact the artist who painted that helmet. It does not have to be a pop up method but it would make the most sense. The real requirement is to have it dynamically populate the "TO" field and also have some kind of verification field for bots(ie. CAPTCHA).
