dynamic populate html field based on conditional logic not in submitted email

  1. Hi,
GF v 1.5.3 with WP 3.2.1. This is my 1st shot at GF so am still learning. Have created a conditional 'HTML' text field string(s) based on previous check box selection and is being displayed correctly within online form at the time of selection. However they are NOT appearing in the final form displayed to user and are NOT included within submitted email. (For the email I have selected all form fields to be included) Could you assist plse? Should I use a different method to do this? tx..e

    • In the middle of 1st page, when you select 'preferrred unit' a text box is displayed below (using html code) indicating what you selected plus other info.
    • The content of this text box is what is missing from the email content and the finished form that is displayed to user at end after hitting Submit.

  2. HTML blocks are for display and not actually part of the entry or form submission. If you want to have that text included in the notification, you can populate a hidden field with the same HTML and submit that. That text will then be available with all the other entered data.

I have tried to do this via Hidden fiield but cannot figure out where the html goes (and the output is based upon conditional logic). Still learning so may just be missing it.tx..e

  4. Can you export your form as XML and email it to me as an attachment to chris@rocketgenius.com please? I'd like to start with your form and make it work. Thanks.
