E-mail notifications/forwarding coming in several hours late

  1. We haven't had this issue until recently. When someone submits a form, it is set up to forward to our dispatch e-mail. However, lately they have been coming in several hours late and it seems to be at random. Sometimes they're really late, and sometimes it is immediately. Any ideas?

If e-mail notifications are being delayed, this is almost always a server issue, as things are working but something is stopping them from being sent out. The way e-mail notifications work in Gravity Forms is that Gravity Forms uses WordPress' wp-mail.php (sendmail) system to send out e-mails. And your server is just supposed to pass them on. This isn't always what happens though.

Here are our troubleshooting steps for notifications:

I recommend you contact your web host, and/or switch to SMTP to see if you can rectify the issue.
