Editing Entries in database and recreate post.

Hi, I hope someone can help me.

Basically, I'm trying to create a form whereby clients fill out their requests with standard fields and there would also be hidden fields which we can modify later such as editing quotation amounts, delivery dates, etc. which we can export by CSV. However, I'd like to take the values from some of these fields to create a post for them to review the status of their requests which would be updated over time. The problem is, as the values I want on the post would need to be from custom fields, as I would need to update the values on the post which would not be reflected in the database for export.

Can anyone think of a solution?

One idea I had was pass a value from a standard field which the user fills out to an extra hidden custom field (for use on post creation) in the same form so I could just edit the entry at a later date and recreate the post.. Is this at all possible?

Any other ideas would be much appreciated.
