Email notification timing

What is the current time it should take between the time form data is submitted and the recipient indicated on the form receives the email with the form content? Is there a way to speed this up so the email comes through immediately (or as immediately as possible) after the form is submitted?
    If so, how?

    Thank you!

  2. Email notifications are handed off from Gravity Forms to the built in wp_mail() function immediately. Any delay is on your server or the intermediate servers or mail clients. How long of a delay are you seeing, and is it consistent to all recipient email addresses (if you are using more than one email address for admin notifications)?

Thank you. It turned out the emails weren't coming through at all and we have resolved the issue with our host.
