Email notification without email field

I want to setup email notification for forms to send to the user that submits the form. However, we don't ask for an email address since the form is only visible to logged in users in the first place (this should actually be a feature of Gravity Forms - form only available to certain user levels).

Notifications to the user require that an email address field be present. How can I work around this?

  2. You can accomplish this easily with the tools available.

    - Edit Your Form
    - Add Email Field
    - Edit Email Field
    - Select Advanced Tab
    - Set Visibility to Admin Only
    - On the Default Value select "User Email" from the Insert variable drop down
    - See this screenshot for correct settings example: http://grab.by/8fBP
    - Save your form

Following the steps about you will now have an Email field to your form so the Notification can be configured. Since you have set the Visibility to Admin Only the user will not see this field on the form. With the default value set to the user email variable it will populate the field with the email of the user that is logged in.

Now configure your User Notification to use this email field and configure the email they will receive.
