email notifications to multiple users

  1. I have a form whereby there are more than one email address boxes for an end user. For instance the user fills in their email address to have a copy sent to him/her. But there is another email box set up on the form for a Co-Applicant, so they can get a copy sent to them as well.

In the backend in notifications, I see only one email address on the form can be used to send a copy of the data inserted in the form from the user. How can I send the data to multiple end users as mentioned?

  2. By default the User Notification only gets sent to one address by selecting the field.

However, you can use the BCC field to send to additional email fields through the use of the merge tags.

While not all the fields on the Notifications admin have a "Insert form field" merge tag drop down, all the fields do indeed support merge tags. So what you can do is insert the merge tag in the body for the other email field, then copy-n-paste it into the BCC field.

See this screenshot, notice the BCC field: http://i.imgur.com/FZ9uq.png

In the final Gravity Forms v1.6 release the "Insert form field" will be changed to say "Insert Merge Tag" since some of the merge tags aren't for form fields anyway and we refer to them as merge tags.

  5. What have you tried exactly? Have you tried different email addresses (domains specifically) in the BCC? Try just one address, not multiple. Properly configure and test the WP MAIL SMTP plugin? Those things are all things you can control, before contacting your host.

Who is your host, by the way, and do you have a link to your form?

  6. I can't get the BCC to work either using merge tags.

{Email Address of Person Celebrating:25} is a email input, but instead of sending a 2nd email there, it sends 2 emails to the main email address entered on the form.

Your issue isn't the same though and the previous issue with the other person has not been resolved. Now we are cluttering up a conversation and it'll just create confusion. :$ Why don't you e-mail me at peralty@rocketgenius.com and you and I can work on this specific issue through there?
