Enabling conditional questions make form disappear

    Hello again!

I have a form that I'd like to enable conditional questions on, but when I do, the form stops appearing on the page it's embedded in.

Here's the form without conditional questions enabled: http://aqualyse.co.uk/contact-us/

Here's the same form (duplicated) with the last three drop-downs turned into conditional questions (if the follow-up phone call checkbox is enabled): http://aqualyse.co.uk/contact-conditional/

The form with conditional questions won't preview either. Any ideas? Thanks!

  2. Looking at your source you have your jQuery in the footer of your site. Can you move the jQuery reference to the head of the page?

Some of Gravity Forms scripts can't be added in the footer. jquery.js, ss.js and a few others have to be included in the header (or anywhere before the actual form). The reason is that some scripts are initialized inline with the form markup and those initialization scripts require their correspondent libraries (js files) to be included before they can execute. What I would suggest is that you move your scripts to the header and see how that goes.

  3. I am having the same problem. After updating the plugin, I couldn't see my contact form and I couldn't edit any radio buttons, ect. I disabled the No Conflict feature and made a form without any conditionals. The new form is viewable but it doesn't provide the same kind of details that the conditional form does. Could you help me figure out what's up?

    Thanks!

  4. @paperclipped - can you please post a link to your form that has conditional logic so we can help you out. Also in the future, please create your own post with as much detail as possible (including form links, what version of GF and WP you are running, etc) so we can better help everyone individually.

  5. My bad! The form link is http://www.paperclippedmemories.com/contact-me

I currently have a non-conditional form on that page, although I have my usual form (that isn't showing up) listed underneath it.

Also, I am running the 1.6.4.1.1 Version of the plugin and 3.3.2 version of WordPress.

I'm using an off-the-shelf Wordpress theme - how would I go about moving the jQuery reference to the head?

No, any form with conditional logic enabled does not show in the form builder preview.

  8. I am having the same problem. I have a number of gravity forms at the website http://www.intermountainheartcenter.com. Referrals, survey, feedback, and contact us are the locations of the forms. Some but not all use conditional logic.
The forms are a major source of referrals in the company. Since I did the update a few days ago, none of the forms with conditional logic (referrals and survey) show up.
The preview seems to work fine.
The plugin is Version 1.6.4.2. I am using off the shelf WordPress 3.3.2.
I have no idea how to move the jQuery.
Can I go back to the previous version of gravity form? This is causing a major interruption in business.
    Thanks
    SLM

Check out the version we released today: 1.6.4.2 and hopefully that will help. If you can't move JQuery on your own, contact the theme developer and have him/her rectify this issue.

  10. @Rob: Before updating the plugin, I wasn't able to view the form as a preview from the form builder. After updating to version 1.6.4.2, I am still unable to see the form as a preview.

I am having the same problem. Form will not preview or show up on the page.

I have disabled all other plug-ins and built another test form. The forms only show up and work if conditional logic is not being used.

Also I have even tried going back to the standard twenty 11 theme, and that didn't resolve the issue either.

    Any suggestions?

  13. It looks like your theme is the issue here - you have some JS errors: Screenshot

Can you revert to the standard theme and leave it up so we can see what happens?

  15. Can you export your form and send the XML file to me to rob@rocketgenius.com and reference this post for me? From what we can see via the source it seems like there is something trying to do a character counter on a field that might no longer exist.

  16. I deactivated all of my plugins except for the basic gravity forms plugin, and changed my theme to the twenty eleven theme, but the conditional form still doesn't show up.

    Screenshot

All that appears is the basic form that I created to take the place of the one that isn't showing up, and the mailing list form that appears as a widget (normally only on my home page, but as a footer here due to the theme change).

Can you e-mail me login details to look this over? peralty@rocketgenius.com (please reference this post and include your WordPress URL)

    Thanks,

  18. @paperclipped, your issue is because you have a comma in your "How may I help you?" field for the character limit. Instead of 1,500 - just put 1500.

Also, you can't use Conditional logic the way you had it. You set it to only show the form if a user selected yes or no to the newsletter option, and so since a user can't select one of those options, the form would never show up.

  20. Thanks, ya'll!

@David: I didn't realize I had the form set up that way. Thanks for letting me know.
