Errors with paypal addon and developers key.

  1. I have been trying to add a paypal form but it seems there's an error. It says:

"The form selected does not have any Donation fields. Please add a Donation field to the form and try again. "

but the donation field button doesn't even exists now on the forms or V1.6. Could you please let me know what is going on?

    Thanks,

  2. Bump.

I'm getting this too - have tried using different variations of the Product field, but I still get that same error message.

    Cheers,

    David

  4. @emilyjem in the end I just set the form up as a product with a user-defined price and went that way - it works, but I'm not sure what the implications are at PayPal's end in terms of tax or whatever.

I'll try the hack listed above, but I'd be happier if the Donation option would show up in the list of available fields as described in the documentation. Has anyone seen any movement on this? An acknowledgement from Gravity that this is an issue being worked on (or not) would be helpful. I am using WP 3.3, Gravity 1.6.2, and the PayPal add-on 1.3.1 - the Donation field does not appear in the list of available pricing options. We require that donors have the option to define how much they want to contribute.

I'm having the same problem as well. The "Donation" field does not appear in the Pricing fieldset in the "Edit Form" dashboard. I just purchased a developer license for Gravity forms a few weeks ago, and being that this is my first support experience, I'm a bit worried that this thread (which was started over a month ago) has not been formally acknowledged by the Gravity staff. Hopefully we'll here from them soon now that the holidays are almost past.

In the meantime I'll try the hack as well.

  8. You will encounter this problem if you are running an old version of the PayPal Add-On and Gravity Forms v1.6+.

You need to make sure you are running the latest version of the PayPal Add-On, which is v1.3.1. If you are not, you need to use automatic update to update to the latest version or you can download it from the Add-On Downloads page here on the support site and manually update.

The Donation field was deprecated in Gravity Forms v1.6 and the PayPal Add-On was updated to support using the Product Field instead of the Donation field when creating a Donation transaction.

However, if you are running an old version of the PayPal Add-On it doesn't have this change in place so it still expects a Donation Field when creating a Donation Feed for the form.

Update to the latest version of the PayPal Add-On and also make sure you are running the latest version of Gravity Forms itself and then try again.
