Error:There was an error while saving your form. Please contact our support team

  1. Hi
I´ve installed in a new site Gravity Forms. I upgraded my Gravity form license and this is the second one.

So when I try to save the form appear this message:
There was an error while saving your form. Please contact our support team
It appears on a red box

    How can I fix it?

    Thank you

  2. That error message shows up when we can't save the form. Rather than error out and lose the form, you get this message. It could be due to server resources, or a theme or plugin conflict. Please let us know how much RAM PHP and WordPress have available, and begin checking for conflicts by following these instructions http://rkt.gs/testing

It's normally one of those things causing the problem if the problem is new. It could be due to server security restrictions or PHP configuration as well, but those situations are more rare.

  3. Hi,
Yesterday I downgrade (or downupdate I dont know if its correctly said) the version of the plugin to 1.6.7 and now works properly.
Does it help you to know where is the problem??

Posted 11 years ago on Friday October 5, 2012 | Permalink
  4. That does not help. The previous version of the plugin may have been slightly less code or slightly more efficient. It's also possible that the problem was temporary on your server.

I would still begin by checking for theme and plugin conflicts http://rkt.gs/testing

Also, we still need to know how much RAM your server has for your site and WordPress.

Hello again. I've just uninstalled 1.6.8 and installed 1.6.7 and it works fine. Have you had any other issues reported with 1.6.8?

Posted 11 years ago on Thursday October 11, 2012 | Permalink
  9. @dmjellis, the latest should be 1.6.8.1 - is that what you had installed before downgrading? [edited - ch]

Can you tell us how much RAM you have for PHP and WordPress?

    Hi Chris - memory_limit is 128M.

In answer to your question - no, 1.6.8.1 doesn't work, so I tried 1.6.7 which does

  11. OK, thank you for that information. Can you please check for theme and plugin conflicts by following these instructions http://rkt.gs/testing - thank you.

  19. Hello???

    Can anyone help me??

  20. Can you tell us how much memory you have for PHP and WordPress? Also, can you create a new simple form with just one or two fields, and save that? If so, can you go back and edit that form? Is it only existing forms that you cannot save changes to?

Posted 11 years ago on Wednesday October 31, 2012 | Permalink
  21. I'm getting the error message, too. Gravity Forms wont save any more (version 1.6.9).
Tested Theme and Plugins, but I can't get it working. The PlugIn is on a client's site and he asked me to make some changes – I'm a bit in trouble by now...
    Any ideas?

  24. @ellenm1, if you would like help with your issue, please open a new support topic. Please provide a URL to the website. If you were able to create any forms, please provide a link to the page on your site where a form is embedded.

You can start troubleshooting by checking for theme and plugin conflicts using these instructions http://rkt.gs/testing

If that does not help, please find out how much RAM PHP has available (the PHP memory_limit) and let us know that as well.

    Thank you.
