Event Submission (PAID request)

  1. I'm trying to connect Gravity forms to a Google Calendar. The form should submit event details to a specific calendar (I'm calling it "DRAFT") and the admin will be able to go into Google Calendar and move approved events to the appropriate category. I know that the API may be used or the confirmation redirect, however I'm not good enough at PHP to understand how to make this work.

I've tried following instructions here but can't get it working. http://code.google.com/apis/calendar/data/1.0/developers_guide_php.html#CreatingEvents

Can you help? How much will this cost? I'm happy to pay for this service and think it would be a great feature you could include in the documentation.

    Cheers,
    Tim

  2. We can look at it real quick and give you an estimate.

You looking to just create an event in Google Calendar using form submission data to populate the event information? Correct?

  4. Any idea when this could be done? We'd love to start using it on a project right away.

    Cheers,
    Tim

  5. We don't have a lot of time in house to do this, however anyone that knows WP and PHP should be able to put it together for you using the available API hooks.

If you get someone who can do it we would be glad to point them in the right direction as far as what hook to use, etc.

  6. Carl, Please let me know what API hooks to do and I'll try to get started with it.

I'm also happy to pay $ if you do find any time in house to take care of it.

  7. The hooks you could do this are the pre or post submission hooks. These hooks allow you to run code either just before the form data is saved or just after it is saved and before the confirmation page is displayed.

    You can read more here:

    http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/hooks-and-filters/

If you find someone that can do the PHP for you we would be glad to help point them in the right direction and help them with a sample code snippet.

  8. Carl, Looks like I found someone to do the PHP for this. Can you send a sample code snippet and any direction that might be helpful? Thanks!

Once finished I'll submit the directions to you to add in your documentation for future use.

  9. You can have the developer contact me at carl at rocketgenius.com and I can supply him with some code snippets on the api hook he will need to use.

Are there any updates on a form for Google Calendar. Thanks.

Posted 14 years ago on Thursday January 21, 2010 | Permalink
  11. No updates. It can currently be done using PHP and the available Gravity Forms API hooks but you need to know PHP to pull it off. It might make it into a future version of our data integration add-on that we are getting ready to release, but not in version 1 of that add-on. There hasn't been a lot of requests for it, this is the only thread where it has been mentioned to us.

  16. I'd be interested in a way to have information submitted through Gravity Forms (date and time) automatically sync with Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook. Any news on this feature?

  17. No update. We have other add-ons we intend to release before this. So it will be later this year. We have plans for both a Google Calendar and a Google Spreadsheet add-on.

I'm happy to hear that there are future plans for Google Apps integration. If there is any chance the code that Tim shared above is still in circulation, it would be helpful to me for use on a project that I am currently woking on involving g-forms + google cal integration. emhr@submersible.me

    Thnx
