Featured Image inserts into post

  1. Hello all,
I'm new here and loving this plugin. However I have run into a snag. It's important in my forms that users can upload an image as a "featured image" but what I don't want to happen is have that same image be inserted into the body of the post. Is there a work around for this? Thanks

  2. The image will not be shown in the post unless you configure your template to display it, or you have used the image upload the content template.

Have you tried this already, and if not, please do, and let us know how it goes.

  3. "or you have used the image upload the content template. "
are you referring to the image upload option? Because this is what I have been using. Is there another way I can upload a featured image? Because I can't see it.

    Thanks

  4. Do you have a copy of this form online somewhere where we can see it?

If you are using a Post Field of the "Image" type, that will upload the image and attach it to your post, in the media library. However, that is not used by default in the post created by Gravity Forms. It's possible your theme includes featured images in every post. If that's the case, it's not something controlled by Gravity Forms, but by your template. However, we're guessing without seeing this online.

Why would you want to allow the visitor to upload a featured image but NOT display it in the post? If you can explain that, maybe we can help you with a solution. Thank you

  5. Many themes automatically display featured images above posts, to then have it duplicated inside the post will only serve to show the same image twice. No need for this.
