Field Required Validation Error

  1. I have a couple of fields that, on submit, are being wiped and the "This Field is Required Error" message is being displayed.

Here is the link to my form : http://woodhavenlimousine.com/online-reservations/
The error displays on page 3, when the payment method is credit card. The fields in question are the CCV# field, Expiration Date, and the Billing Zip Code.

This doesn't seem to be a theme/plugin conflict because I get the same error on the From Preview Page.

I am using the 1.6 beta 2.4 version of gravity forms.

    Thanks

  3. Do you have any custom code in place or is this a stock Gravity Forms installation?

  4. This is the default installation, no custom code. After looking at this post (http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/jquery-chosen-issue) I emailed you guys to get the beta.2.4 version.

  5. I also don't have any custom scripts running with html blocks within the form. I just can't seem to figure out whats causing the problem.

  6. Export the form to XML using the Import/Export tool and post a link to where I can download the XML file so we can import and test with this form locally to replicate and debug the issue.

    Thanks for the help

    I've had the same problem.
I fixed it by, exporting the form's XML, deleting the form, and then re-importing the form back in.
Not sure why it's happening, but I notice that it happens when I move things around a lot and make duplicates (I haven't isolated the exact steps to make these errors happen, though).

    Hope this helps.

  9. bleckett, that seemed to work.

    I guess it's a bug with the 1.6 beta.

    Thanks for the help

  10. @shamy1000 Did you do the above already? If so thats a bummer.

I can't replicate the issue locally using your XML meaning if we can't replicate it we can't debug it. If you corrected your site by deleting and then re-importing the form that means we can't debug it on your site either.

Do you still have a form that is experiencing this issue?

  11. no, unfortunately I already deleted it, following bleckett's method.

If I ever come across this issue again i'll let you guys know.

  13. We have pinpointed this issue. It is an issue with duplicating fields in the 1.6 beta release. We have corrected it and it will be fixed in the 1.6 Release Candidate 2 release later today.

The only problem is the fix won't correct existing forms. So any forms where you have duplicated fields you may need to correct those fields by removing and re-adding them. It will only work correctly for new fields duplicated going forward.
