Field Settings

  1. Hi,

    I have created a form HERE: http://roofoods.ca/lunch-programme/
I am currently using the check boxes field. Is there a way I can eliminate people from checking more than one box for the lunch and dessert section? I would like them to only be able to select one option.

  2. If you want them to be able to select just one choice for lunch and one for dessert, you should use radio buttons, not check boxes. Radio buttons are exclusive: check boxes will permit multiple selections. Is there a reason you cannot use radio buttons?

There is this snippet which can limit the number of checkboxes which can be checked and also require a minimum number of checkboxes to be checked: http://gravitywiz.com/2012/06/11/limiting-how-many-checkboxes-can-be-checked/

  3. Thank you for your quick reply, I will try the Radio Buttons.

  4. Please do. That is the correct type to use when you want one choice of many. Check boxes should be used to allow multiple selections in one field.

  5. Thank you. I have used the Radio Buttons here: http://roofoods.ca/lunch-programme/

It works as i want it now. Just wondering is it possible to format the lunch, dessert and drink on the same line, instead of having it underneath?
