File Upload Graphic / Progress Bar

  1. Still desperately waiting for a file upload / image upload progress bar / graphic, I see that you guys previously mentioned you were waiting for WP 3.3 (we're on 3.3.1), if you do implement this soon, can you also make it multi page form compatible (I want the upload bar to appear when submitting the first page for example, not the final submit button on the last page of the form)

    Hi Simon,

As you've already noted they had been waiting for WP 3.3 because the media uploader was replaced with a plupload based uploader.

When you use the new media uploader you will notice that as files are drag'n'dropped onto the upload area individual upload progress indicators are displayed next to each file name.

As the Gravity forms team have indicated in the past that they prefer to harness wordpress core features/functions rather than building their own it would be a pretty safe bet that the new gravity forms muti-file uploader will work in the same way, uploading the files before the user clicks next or submit.

Any idea of a timeframe for this?? I totally agree, ideally if you upload on page 1, you could use the post page processing to do some work then present the image result for confirmation on page 2.

Is this likely to come soon? I rather not have to invent it myself :).....thanks

  4. +1 for an ETA on this. It's been over a year since posts said it was coming and it would be good to get an indication if it is like just a few weeks away or still years to come.
Does anyone at least know if possible to use a third party upload plugin in conjunction with gravity forms?

  7. Hi,
We're desperate for this too, it would be yet another killer feature that would allow us to get rid of a "non-standard" uploader with a much more user friendly Gravity Form.

As mentioned above, any update on a schedule would be great.

  8. I need a better uploader too for use with images. A thumbnail preview option would be super too!

  10. I need this desperately too - i can't get the fake progress to work even!

  11. I have managed to get the fake progress bar working in Firefox but it doesn't seem to work in Safari. Does anyone know why this would be?

Also could you suggest a way to show this on every form without manually changing the button ID each time?

    The site is http://fluidframe.com.au/wp/frame-your-image/

I realise there is also some sort of Javascript error with the Google Analytics code on this page. Not sure what that's about but hopefully it is not interfering with this code.

Thanks for any help you can give.
