Can you customize label placement for individual fields. I know that you can control the label placement for an entire form but can you control it on the individual field?

We do not offer a way to control label position on individual fields currently. You would have to use CSS to override it on individual fields.

Inconsistent label placement isn't really the best UI idea. That's part of the reason we don't support that setting per field.
