Form Creating Post

  1. Hello everyone!

I'm very new to this Gravity Forms thing, just purchased today in fact.

I got my contact form set up perfectly and easily. It was great to work with and I love how instead of just e-mailing me, I can e-mail back right from my site's back end.

That being said I'm trying to create a new form. I run an RP-based website and right now I'm trying to get this thing to effectively post what I've put in the form. It currently creates a post, but the post has nothing in it. I'm not sure how to get it to populate the post. Clearly I'm missing something.

Is there a good walk-through on how to get the forms to post properly?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

  2. The Post Fields part of this page should help you out some:

    http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Form_Fields

    More specifically: http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Post_Body

In that field, you can select Create Post content template option, which will then allow you to insert Form Fields into the post body.

I'll take a look and hopefully my brain will get it. :)

  5. Okay, that seems to have worked splendidly (so far)!

    New question!

I know that there is some way to make these posts sort of become a directory listing, is there another thing on how that done? I'm sorry if I seem daft or something. I feel pretty lame that I can't seem to find these answers myself!

    Thanks again!

Oh and in case you mention the "Directory & Addons Settings" GF plugin; I have tried this. I can't seem to figure out how to link the directory submissions to the posts, which makes the entire plugin null and void for me, because the whole point is for people to post their own character sheets & guild listings up. :)
