Form not being saved

  1. Hi, after creating the form, whenever I save it, it says: There was an error while saving your form. Please contact our support team.

I have put the license key and have also added the reCaptcha details. Please help me out.

  2. I have tried deactivating all plugins and then trying. I have tried deactivating the theme as well. Nothing works.

  3. This issue is going to be an issue specific to your site or server setup.

Is this a new installation of Gravity Forms or was this an existing installation that you recently updated to a new version of Gravity Forms?

Are you trying to use any HTML or scripts of any kind within the fields that you have added or does it happen when you try to do anything using the form editor?

    Try this...

    - Create a new form
    - Name the Form "Testing" or something unique like that
    - Add a Single Input field to the form
    - Save the form

Does the form save or do you encounter this error?

  4. Yes it encounters the same problem. This is a new installation of Gravity Forms which I bought just yesterday. I am not using any HTML or scripts in the fields.

Same error again and again. It still says "There was an error while saving your form. Please contact our support team." What should I do?

  5. @anshultewari We will have to debug this issue directly on your site. Nobody else is experiencing this issue and it's unique to your site or server configuration.

I am going to need the following information:

    - URL for the site with the issue
    - WordPress admin login for the site with the issue
    - FTP login for the site with the issue

You can send this information to me directly at carl@rocketgenius.com and include a link to this forum post so I know what it is in reference to.

This isn't a Gravity Forms issue, it's a server/site issue related to your WordPress install. We can look into it and determine the issue but we will need the information I outlined above to do so.

  7. Hi, could you just confirm the receipt of the email? I am sorry to bother, but we need to make our forms live ASAP. Looking forward to use the fabulous Gravity forms :-) Cheers!

  8. This appears to be a database issue. When Gravity Forms is activated your MySQL server is returning a bunch of errors. We haven't encountered this issue before.

    See this screenshot:

You are going to need to discuss this with your web host. Let me know how it goes, if there is something we can do on our end after discussing this with your web host we'll be glad to help.

  9. I am also having the same problem. What was the solution by the web host?

  10. @labfit The problem with the user above is his WordPress database was using a bad character set. The necessary Gravity Forms tables were unable to be created because of that.

Please create a new post for your issue as it's likely not related to this users, and even if it is the same problem you should open a new request. Create a new post and provide as much detail as you can on the issue.
