Form not saving

  1. I've installed Gravity Forms on 2 different blogs (I bought the multi-site license) and neither work.

Install works fine and I can save the settings (License & Captch info) but when I try to edit the form, I get the "saving form..." message but nothing happens.

The info from the settings page on both blogs is:

    PHP Version 5.1.6
    MySQL Version 5.0.45
    WordPress Version 2.8.4
    Gravity Forms Version 1.0.1

I've tried deleting the plugin and reinstalling multiple times using both FTP and the WP plugin install screen.

    Thoughts?

  2. Also - I can't get any of the fields to add to the form. Strange behavior. I've used multiple browsers (Safari, Firefox, Chrome & Opera) with no change.

  3. Very strange Eric, i'm going to send you the latest development release and let me know if you have the same issue with that. If you do, we will look into it further and determine the problem. It sounds like a JSON issue as that is used extensively in the form editor.

  4. Hey Eric, I just sent you an email with the latest development build and instructions. Let me know how it goes via email and we will work to resolve whatever is causing the problem.

  6. Carl - The dev version is working fine it seems.

  7. Good to hear! Glad the issue was resolved. I think it may have had to do with doing a full uninstall which removes all the database tables, etc. Deactivating and deleting the plugin does not do this. You have to run the uninstall.

So anyone reading this, if you are having an issue where forms are not saving when you first install the plugin... try the following steps in order before posting for help on the forums. This usually does the trick.

    - Uninstall the plugin using the Uninstall tool on the Settings page of the plugin.

    - Delete the plugin files completely from the server via FTP.

    - Reupload the plugin to the server via FTP.

    - Activate the plugin.

    - Create a new form.

If you still have an issue, contact us via the support forum but the above usually does the trick when this issue arises on a new install. We haven't encountered this issue happening after a successful install.

  10. I followed these steps and my installation still does not work. I can create forms but when I preview it says "could not locate form". Please advise.
