Form not sending. No idea why :(

  1. When submitting the form on this site - officechairrepair.co.za - I wasn't receiving the email notifications. Entries were being saved in the admin, but no emails were being sent.

I initially thought it was a server/email issue, but upon finding nothing strange in the server settings, I paid and signed up for Twillio so that I could receive SMS notifications at the least...

    STILL no joy :(

No error messages anywhere... The notifications - neither email or SMS - are being sent and I haven't a clue why / where to start looking.

    Please help?

  2. I should add that I currently have the W3 Total Cache plugin installed. If anyone needs to squizz around the front end code and would prefer I turn this off for now, happy to do so... Reply here with such a request.

Also note that I have tried turning off this plugin - no difference.

Hi there, can you try following the steps listed here to test for a theme or plugin conflict?
    http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Testing_for_a_Theme/Plugin_Conflict

Also, when disabling a caching plugin, you still need to clear the cache first to make sure things are being pulled from the database live. All my best!

  4. thanks for your reply david.

I enabled the 2012 Theme and submitted the form (found here too: officechairrepair.co.za/contact-us) and still no joy.

I then disabled all plugins (except gforms obviously), cleared cache and still with the 2012 theme active, I submitted the form.

    No joy.

  6. Did you set up the notifications on the form to go to the email you want? (you didn't say, but some folks have assumed that the forms would just go to the email address set up in the WP Admin). You have to "enable" notifications to be emailed to administrator of forms.

  7. Yes ma'am. I have checked and double checked that... I've tried with a range of different emails and CC's and BCC's.. no joy.

The fact that I have Twilio setup there too, and that's not firing either, makes me think that there's a form-processing issue somewhere that's showing a confirmation message, but isn't actually firing off the processes for a completed form -> ie sending the mails + related things, ie Twilio.

  8. I am having a similar problem. I have two blogs in the same multi-site for my domain. Two sub-domains. One is working sending notifications and the other is not.

  9. I was having a similar issue (didn't try Twilio) and it turned out to be antispam on my host (Dreamhost). I installed the WP-Mail-SMTP plugin and sent email with a different email server (I am using Dyn.com Standard SMTP which allows 150 email/day for $20/year). Dreamhost blocks ALL email that appears to come from or has a reply-to of *@hotmail, *@yahoo, and a few more. Their support team said the email isn't formatted anti-spam friendly (the format seemed spammy).

    Something worth trying. Good luck.

  11. @tandeco, please open a new topic for your issue and we will address it separately. Before you do that, please take a look at our troubleshooting tips for notifications here: http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Troubleshooting_Notifications
